Susanboyle_britainsgottalent_240 CBS’ “Early Show” landed an interview with Scottish breakout singer Susan Boyle Thursday morning and even got the “Britain’s Got Talent” contestant to sing for U.S. audiences this time around.

Boyle, 47, was speaking from her home in Blackburn, Scotland, where she’d been living with her mother who died recently. The singer discussed her vocal training and how she reacted to her overwhelming fame ever since her audition clip hit YouTube.

The show also called up Patti LuPone, who had originated the performance of the song “I Dreamed a Dream” from Les Miserables. LuPone praised Boyle’s rendition of “Dream” since the song is technically difficult. After hearing the compliments, Boyle simply said, “That’ll do” in a very farmer-from-“Babe”-like way.
