In "17 Again," Zac Efron plays the teenage version of Mike O'Donnell, a 30-ish husband and dad (played by Matthew Perry) whose wish to be 17 again is mysteriously granted.
And Zac, as the younger version of Perry, gets to kiss his first onscreen cougar, Leslie Mann, who plays Perry's estranged wife. To hear him tell it, it wasn’t such a tough job.
"Leslie is very improvisational and she will keep you on your toes," Zac tells The Dish Rag. "You have to be ready for whatever she throws at you. It was very exciting and fun. And easy too. I didn’t have to work too hard at falling in love with my wife again, because she’s gorgeous and um, yeah … we had fun."
Is it just us, or is Zac is kinda acting sheepish, twitching and blushing a little? Awww, did he get a cougar crush?
Leslie is married to Judd Apatow, and they have a daughter named Maude, who is a huuuge Zac fan and attended the premiere with her parents Tuesday night.
"There was all kinds of drama and fighting over the tickets," Leslie told "ET" on Tuesday night. "She said one friend wrote her 10 letters and gave her a cupcake so that Maude would give her a ticket."
When Efron’s real-life girlfriend, Vanessa Hudgens, was asked by "ET" how she felt about seeing Zac kissing an older woman, she replied diplomatically, “It’s awesome, it’s a great movie, it’s smart and sexy and I love it."
Um, that’s not what "ET" asked, but OK….
