None of the four people in the truck was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, and Aldridge and two of his passengers were ejected from the 2008 Ford F-250. Aldridge was taken to Riverrun Medical Center for moderate injuries. He was later relocated to another hospital. The other passengers had only minor injuries.
Authorities say there's no reason to think drugs or alcohol were involved.
Trooper Mark Dennis told the Associated Press, "The fact that three of these guys survived ejection totally defies the odds."
A source told People magazine, "The doctors are pretty positive he's going to be OK." And good thing — Aldridge and Spears have a 10-month-old daughter together.
