Kanye West has written a book.
The only question is, why?
The Grammy Award winner — an avowed non-reader — has a 52-page spiral-bound book coming out called, "Thank You and You're Welcome." The book – which features some pages with just a sentence and some totally blank pages – purports to contain his philosophy ("Kanye-isms") of life.
For instance, "Life is 5% what happens and 95% how you react!"
And "I hate the word hate!"
Or his fave: "Get used to being used.”
West has never been a book fan. He hates to read. It gets in the way of life. Heck, he's not even a fan of Twitter.
"I am a proud non-reader of books. I like to get information from doing stuff like actually talking to people and living real life," he tells Reuters.
West, a college dropout, says his lack of reading gave him "a childlike purity" when it came to writing a book.
Which may explain why the book reads like it was written by a pretentious 10-year-old.
Kanye's late mother was a college English lit professor before becoming his manager. The book is dedicated to her.
Wonder what grade she'd give it?
