Lindsay-lohan- Turns out robbers really did try to break into Lindsay Lohan‘s home.

But they couldn't get in, so that ransacked interior we reported earlier this week was not their fault.

That's just Lindsay's Messy Celebrity Life.

Two men, one in a baseball cap with a bandanna on his face, were caught on security video, which also photographed their four-door gray station wagon. Oops.

"While the driver stayed inside, the passenger suspect stepped out of the vehicle, walked through a gate and entered the backyard of the residence," cops told People. "Investigators believe that the suspect tried to gain entry by using an unknown type tool to pry open a back window and door. After the unsuccessful attempt, the suspects drove off."

Anyone with any clues about the identity of the men, should contact the LAPD.

On Tuesday, police responded to Lohan's home after her home security alarm was triggered. But having found no sign of missing items, they were a little baffled by the incredible nuclear mess.

On an up note, LIndsay has another shot at a film career. She's accepted a role in "The Other Side," with Woody Harrelson and Alanis Morissette, about a college student on a remote island who discovers a local secret.

And yes, it's a horror film. You expected Oscar-caliber?

This will be LiLo's first film since her atrocious 2007 psychological horror film, "I Know Who Killed Me," which still holds the world record for Razzie Awards.
