According to Variety, Reynolds will be executive producing the film, premise of which is that while honesty is the best policy for a relationship, “too much information” might not be the best thing.

The Hollywood Reporter reports Faris is also in talks to keep the comedy flowing as Robin Williams’ daughter in the romantic comedy “Wedding Banned.” The Touchstone project revolves around a long-divorced couple who kidnap their daughter (Faris) on her wedding day to prevent her from making the same mistakes they did. The parents rekindle their relationship as they elude cops and the angry groom.
—On the comic book front, Variety reports Stuart Townsend, Ray Stevenson and Tadanobu Asano signed on to play the Warriors Three in “Thor.” The Asgardian adventurers fight alongside the Norse god in the Paramount drama set for release on May 20, 2011. Anthony Hopkins and Natalie Portman also star.
— Funny man Stephen Root (“Office Space,” “NewsRadio”) has joined Fox Searchlight’s “Cedar Rapids” and Robert Redford’s drama “The Conspirator,” per The Hollywood Reporter.
In “Rapids,” Root joins Ed Helms, Anne Heche and John C. Reilly, playing the proud owner of an insurance company and Helms boss’ in the ensemble comedy being directed by Miguel Arteta. With “Conspirator,” Root joins James McAvoy and Robin Wright in the historical drama, where he’ll play a principal witness for the prosecution in the trail of a Confederate sympathizer who is tried as a conspirator in the Lincoln assassination.
