boardwalk empire trailer 'Boardwalk Empire': Watch the trailer of Martin Scorsese's new HBO series

HBO has finally posted the first teaser for its upcoming series “Boardwalk
Empire,”
 a fact-based Prohibition gangster saga.

Oscar-winning director Martin Scorsese directed the hour-long first
episode in feature film style, with a reported two month shooting
schedule and a giant $50 million budget.

“Boardwalk Empire” is set in Atlantic City in the 1920s, back when the Jersey shore was famous for brothels, bloody gang wars and bootleggers. It tracks the career of real-life Republican political boss and racketeer Enoch “Nucky” Johnson (Steve Buscemi),
The series, written by Terence Winter (multiple Emmy-winner for his work on “The Sopranos”), also stars Gretchen Mol as a showgirl, Michael Shannon as a Prohibition agent, Dabney Coleman as a old power broker, and Irish actress Kelly Macdonald (“No Country for Old Men”). “A Serious Man’s” Michael Stuhlbarg plays real-life Jewish mob king, Arnold Rothstein. And Stephen Graham is cast as Al Capone.
What, no James Gandolfini?
We don’t yet know if Scorsese, who is also the show’s executive producer, will director more episodes. All we do know is that  “Boardwalk Empire” debuts this fall on HBO. And we can’t wait. How about you? Anyone else looking forward to this show?
Should be quite amusing to watch this historical flashback series and MTV’s modern “Jersey Shore” back-to-back.
