“Twilight” hunk Kellan Lutz definitely has the goods to play a barbarian, but he doesn’t have the role yet.
The big-screen reboot of the “Conan the Barbarian” franchise, which originally starred Governator Arnold Schwarzenegger, is about to start production in March 15 in Bulgaria, so the studio make a decision on casting soon.
]]>Kellan (who you may know better as Emmett Cullen in the “Twilight” films) was one of two final contenders, alongside the usually dreadlocked Jason Momoa of “Stargate: Atlantis” fame. We like him, but he’s no Kellan. The decision should be simple, right?
Well … there’s some drama going on at the studio, Nu Image/Millennium Films. According to Deadline Hollywood, there are rumors that co-CEO Danny Dimbort is leaving the company and that Millennium and Lionsgate have suddenly decided to cast their nets for another, better known actor, who has yet to be named.
We think whatever is going on at the studio, there’s no need to look further. Look at that physique!
