Covais was a fan favorite on the fifth season of “American Idol.” Girls were gaga for him and our personal favorite Covais performance was Don McLean’s “Starry, Starry Night.” It was gorgeous.
Before the Top 24 kicks off for Season 9, Kevin would like to say a few words to the Zap2it readers:
My name is Kevin Covais, I am currently 20 years of age, and I am originally from Levittown, NY. Most of you may know me as a past finalist on a little show called “American Idol.” I had the incredibly good fortune of being a part of an insanely talented group during Season 5 of the show way back in the year 2006. Since then I have had a fun ride to say the least. First and foremost I finished high school, because nothing is more important than an education, for all you young blog readers. In addition, I have actually done quite a bit of acting. I got to star alongside Drake Bell in the 2008 MGM Comedy “College,” which was awesome. I also co-starred in last years ABC Family comedy “Labor Pains,” which starred Lindsay Lohan. So needless to say doing American Idol certainly helped lead me to accomplishing things that I literally only used to dream about.
Now I am very excited for the opportunity to blog for the great Zap2it.com on Season 9 of AI! As someone who has been through it all first hand, I think it’ll be fun to give you my unbiased perspective on the current contestants, judges, and of course how each show plays out. It has already been a great season, so these live performance shows should be as entertaining as ever. Well I think I’ve ranted on long enough here, so let me end by saying that I encourage all of you to check out my upcoming blogs. Please. I beg of you. And tell a friend about it as well. Thanks.
Look for Kevin’s first blog entry on Thursday, Feb. 25. You can see how his insider opinions stack up against the results.
