If you loved the Discovery Channel’s Emmy-winning “Planet Earth,” then mark your calendars for “Life.”
“Life” is the eye-popping 11-part follow-up series that gets more intimate with the plants and animals across all seven continents and will premiere Sunday, March 21 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. Oh, and Oprah Winfrey narrates.
Zap2it got a sneak preview of the series at the winter Press Tour, and we’ll screen an episode in its entirety in person Thursday (Feb. 25).
This trailer got our blood pumping, and be sure to check out the other fascinating clips below:
The first episode, “Challenges of Life,” premieres at 8 p.m. ET/PT on March 21. In this clip, we see three cheetah brothers on the prowl for some ostrich. Run, ostrich, run!!
In a complete 180, the same episode also focuses on the stalk-eyed fly, which is a neat example of Mother Nature’s engineering if you can get past the gross pupa part.
Directly following “Challenges of Life” is “Reptiles and Amphibians” that same night at 9 p.m. ET/PT. Here, we see the komodo dragon take on a water buffalo.
Finally, we get to see the waterfall toad, who puts Spider-Man to shame. Check it.
We’re so there.
