After six seasons of “Lost,” you best believe the cast is quite used to skirting answers to questions about the show.
In that way, they’re just like their bosses, Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse.
When KTV met up with Jorge Garcia to ask what was on tap for Hurley this year, Garcia couldn’t really tell us anything. All he would say is that there are some “vintage Hurley” scenes on tap and that, halfway through shooting, there is still stuff on the series that he’s waiting to see paid off.
“There’s two things I’m learning about Damon and Carlton,” he explains in the clip below. “They
like to present their answers with a couple extra questions and they
also, I think, like to give themselves puzzles to solve.”
Garcia says Hurley’s inclusion in the Oceanic Six was one of those puzzles. When he first heard that his character would be a part of that small group, he had no clue as to how it was possible, given Hurley’s circumstances at the time… but it all worked itself out.
Something else that may work itself out?
Hurley’s romance with the dearly departed Libby (Cynthia Watros).
Watros will return to “Lost” during this final run and when we spoke with Garcia, he had just heard the news and said he was definitely excited.
Will their be resolution to that love story?
“Yeah, I mean, there’s definitely, um, closure, that would be good,” Garcia mused. “I mean, it needs closure, sure why not.”
