“Dancing With the Stars” welcomes a new hoofer to its dance floor, and it looks like he could heat up the competition.
Damian Whitewood is the newest professional to help a celebrity try and win the coveted disco ball trophy on “Dancing With the Stars.”
Whitewood is best known for appearing in the Broadway dance revue “Burn the Floor” for several years. He looks rather impressive judging by his shirtless Facebook profile picture and this photo from “Burn the Floor” with Peta Murgatroyd.
“Burn the Floor,” a show that fellow “DWTS” cast member Derek Hough also performed in, features the international style of competitive ballroom dancing, so Whitewood won’t need to catch up to compete.
According to ABC.com, Whitewood is from Australia and began dancing at the tender age of 10. He has several ballroom and Latin dancing championships under his belt. He was a semi-finalist at the prestigious Blackpool International Championships.
He’s been paired with Pamela Anderson for “Dancing With the Stars” Season 10, which premieres on Monday, March 22 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC. Check out the other pairings.
