“Twilight’s” teen dream Taylor Lautner will report for duty under the direction of John Singleton on his next movie, “Abduction,” according to Deadline Hollywood. Singleton, director of edgier, grittier films like “Boyz n the Hood” and “Hustle & Flow,” was considered the lead candidate over the past weeks, but now it’s official that he’ll helm the Lionsgate film.
In the film, Lautner stars as a teenager who finds his baby picture on a missing persons web site and discovers that his parents may not be his real parents. What follows sounds a lot like a Jason Bourne-style thriller — conspiracy, espionage and essentially running for his life.
