ugly-betty-michael-urie-becki-newton-america-ferrera.jpgWhen The Dish Rag spoke to America Ferrera last week, she told us that shooting on the “Ugly Betty” finale started this week. And we were sad to hear that its end was approaching so quickly.

So, imagine the gasps heard around Twitter Town when Michael Urie, who plays Marc, tweeted the picture above saying, “Last day at mode.”
]]>It’s suddenly so real. Soon, we won’t be seeing Amanda (Becki Newton, pictured above left) sitting at the round Mode reception desk not greeting people as they come off the elevator. We won’t see Betty (America Ferrera, pictured above right) running down that crazy brightly lit Mode corridor as she embarks on her newest caper. And, of course, we won’t have Marc trailing after Wilhelmina as she barks orders at him when, just like Betty, all he wanted was to make a career for himself at the magazine. The finale airs Wed., April 14, but we hear the whole crew are making an appearance for the Save the Children charity, something America is very dedicated to, on April 12 to discuss the finale episode. The fundraiser will be held at the Axelle Fine Arts Gallery in New York City. Also, one of those portraits of Betty, painted by the character, Matt Hartley, will be auctioned off to benefit the Save the Children school campaign. For more information, visit the gallery’s site.
