Cheryl Ladd finds her spotlight isn’t as bright now as when she was a cause celebre of “Charlie’s Angels,” but she doesn’t mind.
The object of wide attention as Farrah Fawcett‘s replacement in the second season (and beyond) of the classic female-detective series, Ladd will join fellow ex-Angel Jaclyn Smith when the show is honored at the 8th Annual TV Land Awards. The nostalgia-driven channel televises the event Sunday, Apr. 25, and Ladd’s appearance will be a now-rare one.
“We all know in the industry that once you’re past 40, it becomes more difficult to find interesting roles,” Ladd tells Zap2it. “Also, there’s some catching up to do with the image of who women in their 50s are. I’ll be screamin’ into 60 in a couple of years, and we’re not the sort of 60-year-old women that our grandmothers were.”
