Jay Leno sits down with Joy Behar behind the scenes of her show and speaks candidly about “The Tonight Show” situation.
“Conan got screwed, I got screwed. I mean, this is TV,” says Leno. “The reason show business pays a lot of money is so when you get screwed, you got something left over.”
We would certainly call $33 million “something”
“Conan was treated terribly and I was treated terribly,” Leno continues. “I think Conan will come back and he’ll be strong and we’ll all compete against each other. It should be against Letterman against Conan against Kimmel.”
That seems like a very healthy attitude, but it’s easy to have that attitude when you’re the one who got “The Tonight Show” back.
