Bryan Batt, who plays a closeted gay art director on AMC’s “Mad Men,”
talked to The Dish Rag at the GLAAD Media Awards (Apr. 17).

We chatted about his “Men” character, the new season, his book about his marvelous Auntie Mame, “Steel Magnolias” mother, which character he’d most like to make out with on the show (take a wild guess) how much he loves Jane Lynch and how he’d kill to be on “Glee.”

]]>On his character: “It really warms my heart that so many people get him and empathize with his struggle.” On his new book: “It’s called “She ain’t Heavy, She’s my Mother.” I adore her. She made me the man I am today. I’m just thrilled … It’s being published by Random House and it’s out on May 3,  just in time for Mother’s Day.” Who would he like to have a love affair with on “Mad Men”: “Joan Holloway, Christina Hendricks. We had a kiss at the end of Season One and someone said they wanted to continue it.” Would he ever go on “Glee”: “I’d love to be on “Glee!” I did Broadway for years. I did nine Broadway musicals. I was in “Cats!” Follow Zap2it on Twitter and Zap2it on Facebook for the latest celebrity news. More GLAAD dish: GLAAD Awards: Miss. student Constance McMillen to be Grand Marshall at NY Gay Pride.
