“Grey’s Anatomy” will be admitting Mandy Moore to Seattle Grace-Mercy West for its season finale.
Moore will play a patient under Bailey’s (Chandra Wilson) care in the May 20 finale, ABC confirms to Zap2it. The network is keeping other details about her character to itself for the moment, but given that “Grey’s” season finales tend to be pretty heavy on the action, we’re guessing Moore’s character is not there for just a simple surgery.
It will be the first TV appearance for Moore since she guested on an episode of “How I Met Your Mother” in 2007, playing Ted’s (Josh Radnor) bad-girl rebound girlfriend.
She does, however, have a couple of movie projects in the works. She’s scheduled to play a newlywed opposite “Twilight’s” Kellan Lutz in “Love, Wedding, Marriage,” which begins filming later this month, and recently finished work on an indie comedy called “Swinging with the Finkels.” She also voices Rapunzel in the Disney movie “Tangled,” which arrives in theaters in November.
The two-hour “Grey’s Anatomy” finale is scheduled for Thursday, May 20.
