If you’re like us, you can’t get enough of NBC’s “Parks and Recreation.” Luckily, we’ve got two deleted scenes from the March 25 episode, “Summer Catalog,” in which Leslie Knope (Amy Poehler) takes the previous park directors out for a picnic lunch to inspire her welcome letter in the catalog. Unfortunately, the park directors are less enthused than she is.
In the first deleted scene, Knope asserts her control-freak tendencies, about which she is firmly in denial. “Anywhere is fine. You know, there’s a bunch of park benches on this path. There’s one in particular like 7/10ths of a mile up on the left. It’s right at the bottom of a hill, kind of on a platform, shaded by a big tree. So anywhere on or around that particular bench would be fine. Just choose that one,” she tells April and Andy. Speaking of April and Andy, keep an eye out for a cute moment between them. Will those two crazy kids ever get it together?
The second clip features Tom Haverford (Aziz Ansari) taking a photo of Ann, Mark, and a baby to use as the cover of the Summer Catalog. In typical Tom fashion, he turns the photo shoot into something far more complicated than it should be after he gets the shot Leslie wanted. “And you just found out your husband is actually an alien sent to study our race. Your son is half alien. Let me see it in your face,” he says. Then the real art begins.
