Even talk show host Jimmy Kimmel was confused by mistress-beleaguered golfing great Tiger Woods‘ new Nike commercial that features the voice of his dead father (?!) asking him what he was feeling and if he has learned anything.
What do modern day Mad Men (and women) think of it?
]]>Barbara Lippert told the New York Post,
“I think it’s totally brilliant for Tiger because it does all the
rehabilitation for him and he doesn’t have to say a word.”
Dana Alden, a marketing professor in Hawaii, says it’s confusing. “I
don’t know if people will automatically know that’s his dad talking. I
think they run the risk of viewers coming away confused or making their
own interpretation of what the message is.”
What do you think of this commercial? How does it make you feel and did you learn anything?
