katie andrew idol 320 TV ratings: 'Idol' wins Wednesday, 'Ugly Betty' bows out quietlyFast National ratings for Wednesday, April 14, 2010

The “American Idol” results show claimed its usual spot atop the ratings with Wednesday’s double elimination, leading FOX to a win for the night. As has been the case for the past couple weeks, though, ratings for a lot of scripted shows lagged a little bit. The series finale of “Ugly Betty,” meanwhile, was up a bit from recent airings.

FOX drew 13.9 million viewers and an 8.2 rating/14 share in households to lead the prime-time race. CBS (9.75 million, 6.3/11) came in second, a good bit ahead of ABC (6.2 million, 4.0/7). NBC took fourth with 5.3 million viewers and a 3.5/6, and The CW (1.9 million, 1.3/2) trailed.

In the adults 18-49 demographic, FOX’s 4.3 rating beat CBS’ 2.5 by a good margin. ABC, 2.2, came in third, followed by NBC, 1.6, and The CW, 0.8.
