“Twilight” star Kellan Lutz, who already has several non-vampire movie projects on his plate, could be adding yet another one.
Lutz and Samuel L. Jackson are in negotiations for an action flick called “Deathgames,” which is scheduled to start filming next month in Louisiana. He’d play a guy who’s kidnapped and forced into a fight-club situation, where he has to battle other fighters for a voracious online audience.

If the deal goes through, Lutz will be working pretty much nonstop for the next few months. He’s scheduled to begin shooting a romantic comedy called “Keep It Together” (formerly “Love, Wedding, Marriage”) with Mandy Moore next week, also in Louisiana. He would move straight from that to “Deathgames,” then in June go on to “Immortals,” where he plays Greek god Poseidon.
Then, of course, there’s “Twilight: Breaking Dawn,” which is scheduled to begin filming in the fall. He also stars in the remeake of “A Nightmare on Elm Street” that arrives in theaters on April 30.
So enjoy your weekend, Mr. Lutz — it sounds like you won’t have many off in the near future.
