Bret Michaels made a rather curious remark before his performance of “Every Rose Has Its Thorn” at his Biloxi, MS concert Friday, May 28.
According to a video on TMZ, the rocker says, “I can’t say this is true yet, cause I don’t know. Next year they asked
me to possibly be the judge on ‘American Idol.'”
Interesting. And more than a little vague. “Can’t say this is true,” “I don’t know,” “possibly.” None of those sound terribly concrete to us, but it’s certainly a weird, off-handed comment to make at a concert in Mississippi.
But what do you think, “Idol” maniacs? We here at Zap2it have been fervently pushing Harry Connick Jr. as Simon’s replacement after seeing him mentor the Idols this season — in fact, if you are on the Harry Connick Jr. train, join our Facebook group to support him!
Bret Michaels seems like a trendy choice right now, what with his recent health scare and surprise appearance on the “Idol” finale — perhaps the “Idol” producers are just throwing names around to see what sticks?
