Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve heard the news that Simon Cowell will exit “American Idol after Season 9 ends on May 25. And it’s likely that predictions and suggestions of “who will” and “who should” replace Cowell will soon reach a fever pitch across the blogosphere. Though Cowell’s replacement will not be announced until well after the season ends, as previously reported by Zap2it.

Hollywood names ranging from formidable replacements Sir Elton John and Tommy Mottola to ludicrous ones such as Howard Stern have been bandied around so far. Show host Ryan Seacrest has nominated Justin Bieber to fill the empty seat, while Randy Jackson thinks Cowell’s vacant spot needs to be filled with a ‘modern day Houdini

Though The Dish Rag would never normally go against the mothership, we felt too passionately about our newest discovery.
