Fans of “Glee” know Harry Shum Jr. as Mike Chang (a.k.a. “Other Asian”), the one member of McKinley high’s show choir known for his dance skills more than his vocal chops.
In real life, Shum not only acts on the show, but choreographs and performs with a cast of dancers in the series The Legion of Extraordinary Dancers, or LXD.
As announced via a YouTube video on May 6, LXD will join Shum and the rest of the “Glee” cast on the road for the 2010 Glee Tour. Opening night is May 15 in Phoenix. The tour will also hit Los Angeles and Rosemont, IL before wrapping up on May 30 after five performances at Radio City Music Hall in New York City.
LXD has previously performed on “So You Think You Can Dance” and at the 2010 Oscar Awards ceremony. We hope Harry Shum has been eating his Wheaties, because performing as both the opening act and the headliner can’t be easy! Check out the group’s “SYTYCD” performance below.
