Kristin Davis is spilling the skinny on weight and aging in Hollywood. Turns out that “Sex and the City” is not only a safe zone from body and age critiques, it’s also been a good luck charm for the show’s four female stars.
]]>In the UK’s Red magazine, Davis says there’s a lot of criticism in the
Hollywood about actresses’s weight. “Fat here, fat there.
Hippy this, hippy that. That has been my entire career. But never at
work. No one at “Sex And the City” has ever asked any of us four girls
(Kim Cattrall, Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon) to lose weight. Thank God.”
She’s also grateful for the show having given her a career in her ’40s,
a distinct change in Hollywood, due in large part to SATC.
actresses she admired when she was young: “They were young, even
though they seemed older to us. And you thought that you had to make it
in your 20s, like if you weren’t going to make it on your 20s, you
weren’t going to make it. So the fact I would be turning 45 and be the
busiest, most successful I’ve ever been is very, very odd. And it’s all
because of’ ‘Sex and the City,’ really.”
