Even though “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” will be released on June 30, a few reshoots and pickup shots were necessary in Vancouver, British Columbia over the weekend.
Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner shot their scenes the first two days, according to Vancouver blogger Mandy, and then Robert Pattinson came on board later for his shots. “Twilight” author Stephenie Meyer was also on hand, for what purpose, it’s not certain.
]]>reported that there were creative differences with “Eclipse” director David Slade and that he wouldn’t even be present for the reshoots. She even tweeted out the cryptic statement, “An argument between two people who are not lovers is making things tricky. Because one has disrespected the others skills. Or lack thereof.”
To the contrary, Slade was definitely on hand in Vancouver for those shots, and later tweeted about his reaction to the rumors of discord on set:
“So strange, I go away for three weeks and return to all these upsetting completely fabricated rumours. Who makes this stuff up as news.
“REAL NEWS: last 3 weeks have gone fantastic, pick up shoot felt more like a reunion. Rob, Kristen,Taylor the crew & I gave 110%. Onwards!”
Mandy reports that one scene between Jacob (Lautner) and Bella (Stewart) took place outside, so it could be one of the “meadow scenes,” while the other two days were shot in studio.
We’re just glad that everything seems to be okay and that the June 30 premiere won’t be disturbed.
