Clinton decided to stick around after seeing the Americans’ dramatic win against Algeria on Wednesday, but his presence wasn’t a good-luck charm for the United States this time: Ghana won, 2-1, on a goal by Asamoah Gyan in the third minute of extra time. Jagger — a fan of the English Premier League club West Ham United whose home country takes on Germany Sunday — and the former president at least saw a tightly contested game. Ghana took the lead very early and controlled much of the first half, but the U.S. tied it on a penalty shot by Landon Donovan in the 62nd minute. The U.S. had several chances toward the end of the second half to take the lead but couldn’t get a shot past Ghana’s goalkeeper, Richard Kingson.
