Gossip blogger Perez Hilton recently tweeted an up-skirt picture of 17-year-old Miley Cyrus, sparking discussion about whether the photo counts as child pornography. On Wednesday, June 16, Cyrus called in to Ryan Seacrest‘s radio show and responded to the controversy.
Seacrest asked Miley about the provocative nature of her new look, and mentioned that he’d seen “some pictures” of her on stage.”Well, the record isn’t provocative. That’s not my record. That’s like, some idiot being an idiot, you know what I’m saying?”
]]>She assures fans (and, probably, parents of fans) that when they purchase her album, they’re not in for any surprises. “For my record, if you’re buying that, you’re not buying whatever somebody with no life — isn’t it funny, things like that, that are so negative, have to come out right before my record?” To promote her album, Miley will be doing a live show at the House of Blues in Los Angeles which will then be streamed to the home page of MTV.com for fans to watch. In an ironic twist, tickets to the live show are only available to those 18+. “So I actually can’t be at my show,” Miley chuckles. “I’m doing the new stuff on the new record. I’ll do a couple of cover songs and just hang out.” Follow Zap2it and @cadlymack on Twitter and Zap2it
