“Glee’s” Amber Riley has already sung the national anthem at a World Series game. Now she’ll get to do the same at the Major League Baseball All-Star Game.
MLB says that Riley will sing “The Star-Spangled Banner” before the start of Tuesday’s (July 13) game in Anaheim — and unlike the World Series game last fall where she was joined by her “Glee” castmates, this time she’ll be going solo. She’ll also be giving a “special performance” as part of the pre-game ceremonies.
The pre-game will also feature celebs like Charlize Theron, Ben Affleck, Matthew McConaughey, Harrison Ford, Sheryl Crow, Salma Hayek and Julia Roberts. They’ll be part of a video recognzing people honored by MLB for their community service.
Riley will be joined before the game by the Canadian Tenors (Clifton Murphy, Victor Micallef, Remigio Pereira and Fraser Walters), who will sing their country’s national anthem. Cobie Caillat will perform “God Bless America” during the seventh-inning stretch.
The All-Star Game airs at 8 p.m. ET/5 PT Tuesday on FOX.
