ESPN sports commentator Jay Mariotti has had a run-in with police.
The TV personality and sports columnist was arrested early Saturday (Aug. 21) after a domestic altercation in Los Angeles, Calif., involving his girlfriend, reports ESPN.
“We’ve just learned of it and are looking into it,” says ESPN spokesperson Josh Krulewitz.
]]>claims that Mariotti, 51, and his girlfriend argued at a club in Santa Monica and then continued at their apartement in Venice, where there was some sort of physical altercation. Authorities were called and arrested Mariotti on a felony charge. He was released on $50,000 bail just after noon. Mariottie is a panelist on ESPN’s “Around the Horn,” writes a column for Fanhouse and once wrote a sports column for the Denver Post and the Chicago Sun-Times.
