The fashion elite descended on St. Paul’s Cathedral in London Monday (Sept. 20) to pay their respects to Alexander McQueen.
McQueen who took his own life seven months ago, was one of the world’s
most celebrated and intriguing designers. His career had pushed the
envelope for over 18 years, and created a cult-like following along
Anna Wintour eloquently spoke at the service while draped in a vintage McQueen coat. Of McQueen
Anna said: “He showed us everything was possible; dreams could become
reality. But he has left us with an even more exceptional legacy, a
talent that soared like the birds of his childhood above us all.”

The service took place at the beginning of London’s Fashion week, that will sure be filled with reflections on McQueen’s
amazing career.The label is now under the direction of Sarah Burton,
but we have a feeling there are some very well dressed angels looking
down on fashion week in heavenly McQueen creations.
