“Saturday Night Live” has added two more names to its lineup of guest hosts for the coming season.
“Easy A” star Emma Stone and “Mad Men’s” Jon Hamm both announced their hosting gigs on “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” this week. Stone, who was a guest on Wednesday’s (Sept. 15) show, says she’ll take the stage on Oct. 23, and Hamm said on Thursday’s show that he’ll host “SNL” on Oct. 30.
NBC isn’t commenting. But considering that Stone and Hamm broke the news to a former “SNL” cast member on a show that airs on the network, we feel pretty safe in saying they’ll be there.
Hamm will take his third turn as host the day before Halloween and a couple weeks after “Mad Men” finishes its season on AMC; he also hosted the Halloween show in 2008. Stone, whose “Easy A” opens Friday (as does “The Town,” co-starring Hamm), is making her “SNL” debut. Her other credits include “Zombieland” and “Superbad.”
So far “SNL” has only confirmed that Amy Poehler will host the season premiere on Sept. 25. Emmy winners Bryan Cranston and Jane Lynch have also said they’re set to host the show as well.
