Last Thursday (Sept. 9), a woman named Michele Bundy was granted a temporary restraining order in Atlanta against fomer football player and current CBS’ NFL analyst Shannon Sharpe. She accuses him of forcing her to have sex with him and threatening her life.
Despite Thursday’s ruling, Sharpe was back on his pregame job Sunday with CBS but on Wednesday he announced that he would be taking some time off.
“I have decided to step aside from the NFL Today until this matter is resolved,” Sharpe says in a statement. CBS Sports will only say that they “accept his decision.”
]]>According to the New York Post, the new restraining order has brought
to light that in the past 16 years Sharpe has had 10 civil complaints
filed against him in the same county as Bundy’s, all by women.
It is believed that Bundy and Sharpe were dating as the charges leading
to the restraining order were classified as falling under “family
