The NOVA science series has had a film crew on the ground at the Chilean mine disaster since Sept. 5, and is announcing a new film, “Emergency Mine Rescue,” a documentary on the events surrounding the trapped miners. The hour-long film will premiere Tuesday, Oct. 26. [NOVA]
NBC is developing a new adventure-oriented dating series blending the hookups of “The Bachelor” with the adventure elements of “Survivor.” Because the contestants will likely be strangers to each other, people familiar with the project are referring to it as “Meet Play Love.” [Vulture]

E! is teaming with Bunim-Murray Prods. for a docuseries following the spouses of rock stars. The show, titled “Married to Rock,” stars Susan Holmes McKagan, married to former Guns N’ Roses bassist Duff McKagan, who joined and left Jane’s Addiction this year; Etty Farrell, whose husband is Jane’s Addiction frontman Perry Farrell; Josie Stevens, a model married to Billy Idol’s longtime guitarist Steve Stevens; and AJ Celi, who has been in a relationship with guitarist Billy Duffy of the Cult for the past three years. TBS has ordered a pilot inspired by a Funny Or Die video starring Jewel called “Undercover Karaoke,” which features the singer in a disguise as an everyday business woman blowing off steam at a karaoke bar. After belting some of Jewel’s famous tunes to an unknowing crowd, she later reveals herself. Funny Or Die will produce the series, and website co-founders Will Ferrell and Adam McKay will contribute.
