“Chuck” star Zachary Levi was shocked when he got the role of Flynn Rider in Disney’s new animated 3D musical film, “Tangled.”
Being a self-confessed Dis-Nerd, he begged his agent to get him an audition but he fully expected the juicy role to go to an A-list actor. So now that he’s proven he can sing so amazingly well, when’s the musical episode of “Chuck?”
“I don’t know if that’s a good idea,” he admitted at the “Tangled” junket on Sunday (Oct 26) in Disneyland. “Shows like “Buffy” and “Scrubs” all have the premise that can support that. But while “Chuck” can be very funny and tongue-in-cheek, I feel like it would interfere with the integrity of the show. Then it would be the Muppets episode.”
]]>We just had to ask him to give us the famous Flynn Rider smolder (check out the trailer below). And he gave
it a good “Zoolander” shot, but added, “It just looks like I’m
Zach also goes into the genius of John Lasseter’s team and the secrets
of their “plus” technique, how much he got to ad lib in the film, and
a tripped out he is by having a Disney toy of his “Tangled” character
and how strange it ws meeting the guy who portrays Flynn Rider in the Disneyland park.
“I met him at Disney studios first and I said, ‘Hey, I’m Zach.’ I
expected him to be like ‘Hey, I’m John,’ but he said, ‘Hi, I’m Flynn
Rider’ and I said, “Yeah, OK, but what’s your name?’ And he said, ‘No,
really. I’m Flynn Rider.’
This hysterically funny and heartwarming film opens on November 24. Do not miss this one. And trust us, wearing the clunky 3D glasses is totally worth it.
