There are many Thanksgiving traditions: A nice turkey dinner, a Dallas Cowboys football game, but one of most celebrated is watching Charles Shulz’s classic “A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving.”
The special follows Charlie Brown trying to throw a Thanksgiving dinner
when Peppermint Patty invites herself and her friends over to his place
for the holiday. Since Charlie is supposed to be going to his
grandmother’s, he has Snoopy and Woodstock prepare the meal, which
consists of ice cream and junk food galore. Recurring gag of Lucy
pulling the football away from Charlie at the last minute included.
aired the 1973 pop culture staple on Thursday, Nov. 18, but if you
missed, never fear. The network will be playing it again on the big
day, Thursday, Nov. 25 at 8 pm ET. As an added bonus, they are also
airing “This is America, Charlie Brown: The Mayflower Voyagers.” The latter has Snoopy and the gang aboard the Mayflower in 1620.
break out your jellybeans, popcorn and toast and gather your family
around the TV because this is one Thanksgiving tradition you’d frankly
be stupid to miss.
