adam lambert acoustic cover Adam Lambert's 'Acoustic Live!' EP hits in DecemberAdam Lambert is still just “theorizing” about a second full-length album, but he’s giving his fans a holiday gift in the form of an acoustic EP.

Lambert’s “Acoustic Live!,” a five-song EP of stripped-down tracks recorded mostly during the European leg of his Glam Nation tour, goes on sale Dec. 6. The 2009 “American Idol” runner-up also revealed the cover art for the EP, which you can see up above there.

According to Billboard, the EP will feature acoustic versions of four songs from “For Your Entertainment” — “Aftermath,” “Music Again,” “Soaked” and “Whataya Want from Me” — as well as a version of “Mad World,” one of his signature songs from his time on “Idol.”

]]>in an interview on Australian TV last month that the material was recorded during Glam Nation dates in Europe as well as at promotional stops on the tour. “We did a lot of promo,” he says, “so I had Monty my guitar player, and my drummer at the time. We just did very stripped-back versions of the songs.” As for the follow-up to “For Your Entertainment,” Lambert says he’s written a few things down but hasn’t been in the studio to record yet. He hopes to release a full-length album sometime in 2011. “Acoustic Live!” goes on sale at and other digital outlets on Dec. 6.
