Old-school movie stars held the line against reality TV-fueled celebrity in 2010, at least according to one measure of fame.
Angelina Jolie is the most media-saturated celebrity of 2010, according to USA Today’s Heat Index. Her life partner, Brad Pitt, was also in the top five, as were Sandra Bullock and Pitt’s ex, Jennifer Aniston. The only famous-for-being-famous interloper in the top five is Kim Kardashian, who checks in at No. 4 behind Jolie, Bullock and Pitt.
USA Today compiles its weekly Heat Index based on celebs’ appearances in any of 12 print, TV and online outlets. It’s not the most scientific sample, and it apparently doesn’t take social media into account a whole lot, which would explain the absence of, say, Lady Gaga or Justin Bieber from the list.
What do you think of USA Today’s list? Who would you add or subtract?
