Steve Carell may be leaving “The Office” this season after 7 years as boss, but he may not be going far from NBC. The network just bought his half-hour comedy, tentatively called “The Post-Graduate Years” based on his time as a small-town mail carrier. Carell will write the project and produce it with his “Daily Show” buddy Thom Hinkle. [Deadline]
Fans of “Terriers” rallied to Wednesday’s (Dec. 1) season finale, but will it be enough to keep the show going? Viewership was up by 45 percent overall and 73 percent in adults 18-49 compared to last week’s episode, but the total audience still fell short of a million viewers. [FX]
