Bummed that you didn’t have time to catch a lot of movies in 2010? Well, you’re in luck because a YouTube user (Genrocks) decided to edit together nearly 300 movies from this year into a 6-minute video and we’ve got to say, it’s epic.
]]>“Filmography 2010”, which was posted on Dec .13, has already garnered over 20,000 views, almost 2,000 likes and over 400 comments. A sample comment? “I hope that the Academy shows this to open the awards. I think it’s THAT good.” We concur, Youtube user errolllaurie. Some of the biggest films featured in the video include “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1,” “Iron Man 2,” “The Social Network,” “Inception,” and “Toy Story 3.” The editing is beautifully done as clips from various films accompany a fitting quote from a movie and scenes which match the song’s lyrics perfectly (example: Dumbledore falling to his death as the line “We were made to never fall away” from Civil Twilight’s song “Letters From The Sky” plays). It also makes some of the weaker films of the year (cough — “Tooth Fairy” — cough) look amazing. To be totally cheesy for a moment, it’s a video like this that makes you believe in the power of cinema. Don’t believe us? Just watch this six minutes of bliss:
