Socialite, heiress and party-girl Paris Hilton is about to add motorcycle maven to her list of titles.
Hilton posted a link from her twitter page with the caption “Huge!” on Monday (Dec. 13). The link brought us to a Motorcycle.com page announcing that the famous blonde will be launching a new 125GP racing team for the 2011 World Championship. Can you say unexpected?
She is set to present the SuperMartxe VIP by Paris Hilton team in Madrid, Spain on Saturday (Dec. 18). The team will have support from the BQR Race Team and the former crew chief of Valentino Rossi and Marco Melandri during their championship years — so it looks like Hilton will actually have qualified help from some of the best in the industry.
She is hoping to use her fame to bring mainstream attention to the world of Grand Prix racing. It remains to be seen whether she will draw positive attention, or manage to turn the sport into a laughing stock. But hey, any press is good press, right?
