Get ready for some new Britney Spears music, ya’ll!
After rumors were swirling that her new single, “Hold It Against Me,” was going to be released Jan. 7, and a demo of the track reportedly leaked, Ms. Spears took to her Twitter to set the record straight. We’re guessing a lot of people will be calling in sick on Tuesday, Jan. 11.
]]>The singer tweeted, “Heard an early demo of my new single leaked. If u think that’s good, wait til you hear the real one Tuesday.” If that wasn’t enough, Spears also tweeted the single’s gorgeous artwork. Game on, Lady Gaga.
The track was executive produced my Max Martin and Dr. Luke. Dr. Luke recently tweeted the first five words of the song. “The first word of the Britney song is ‘hey’… The 3rd word is ‘there’…Hey over there…please (4th word)… forgive (5th)…’Hey over there please forgive me’ first line…’if I’m coming on too strong.'” Luke has said Spears’ new sound is harder, electronic and grimier.
