Katy Perry, who won the favorite female artist and web celeb at Wednesday’s People’s Choice Awards, will also enjoy some popularity at MacLarens.
The “Teenage Dream” singer is dropping in on CBS’ “How I Met Your Mother” in an episode titled “Oh Honey” to air later this season, the network announces.”
“Katy is a tremendous talent and we are delighted to be able to work with her,” says the show’s co-creator and EP Carter Bays.
Perry will play another of Ted’s (Josh Radnor) love interest who’s the cousin of Zoey (Jennifer Morrison). Because of her naivete, the gang calls her “Honey.”
This will no doubt be a welcome and lighthearted absurdist romp compared to the somewhat shocking and touching events of Monday’s (Jan. 3) episode “Bad News.”
Perry recently appeared as herself on a special puppet portion of “The Simpsons.”
