With only one new release (“Season of the Witch”) hitting theaters this weekend, The Coen Brothers‘ western “True Grit” and “Little Fockers” were left to battle it out again at the box office on Friday, Jan. 7.
“True Grit” won the duel and is projected to make $15 million this weekend. “Little Fockers” brought in $4.2 million and should bring in $13.7 million over the three day period. If these estimates are true, both films will have grossed $100 million domestically.

The flick should bring in $9.4 million. “Country Strong” expanded this weekend and brought in a strong $2.6 million and is on pace to beat its pre-release tracking with a projected $7.6 million. “Tron: Legacy” grossed $2.7 million and should make $10.5 million over the weekend, which would edge out “Season of the Witch” for third place.
