Just a few days after dropping the non-bomb that “Glee” would branch out into the world of original song-writing, the first two tracks have naively wandered onto the Internet.
So what’s the instant reaction to the two songs?
“Loser Like Me,” is, as FOX says, “an energetic ensemble track.” But what they don’t say is that it’s a self-esteem-filled power anthem that has “summer song” written all over it — if it wasn’t being released in March. (That’s like one month too soon for summer status, right?)
There’s also the more obvious “Get It Right,” which, if you close your eyes and sort of ignore the words, sounds like most ballad-ish things Rachel (Lea Michele) sings on the show.
So what’s the verdict?
