Matthew Perry is busy promoting his new ABC sitcom “Mr. Sunshine” and one of the stops is Tuesday’s “Ellen DeGeneres Show” show (Feb. 8). He and Ellen share a laugh over Justin Bieber, a guest on Ellen’s Wednesday show, who apparently has a “Friends” connection.
Matthew: “I heard that Justin Bieber, I know who that is…”
Ellen: “Yes, he’s here tomorrow actually.”
Matthew: “I found out that he, when he checks into a hotel, we all use fake names, he uses Chandler Bing.”
Ellen: “Well now people know.”
Matthew: “Yeah, gotta find a new one, pal.”
Ellen: “And now you can use Justin Bieber. You’d never get followed.”
Matthew: “Yeah, I would never. That’s the worst name I could use!”
Ellen: “Yeah, that would be a bad name to use.”
We would love to witness Matthew Perry checking into a hotel under “Justin Bieber” and the ensuing throng of tween girls that would descend upon his room and then have no idea who he is.
“Mr. Sunshine” premieres on ABC Wednesday, Feb. 9 at 9:30 p.m.. Yes, he is replacing his former TV wife’s “Cougar Town.” Heh.
