Playing to the paparazzi Monday afternoon (March 7) after being fired from “Two and a Half Men,” Sheen brandished a machete while standing on the roof of the Live Nation building in Beverly Hills. E! News says the very large knife belonged to a Live Nation executive, and not Sheen himself, so that’s … good? (Sheen was there, incidentally, for a merchandising meeting.)
He also quoted civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr. — “Free at last, free at last” — when the assembled paparazzi asked how it felt to be out of work. Because when King gave his “I have a dream” speech in 1963, we’re sure he was thinking about the struggles of wealthy TV stars who don’t like their jobs anymore.
The British news report embedded above pretty well captures our feelings on the incident.
