Okay, so, Jay-Z is part owner of the New Jersey Nets. This apparently makes his visit to the Kentucky Wilcats’ locker room on Sunday (March 27) evening after their Elite Eight victory over the North Carolina Tar Heels a big time no-no.
As the part-owner of an NBA franchise, Hova’s visit to a college team’s locker room could be construed as inappropriate contact with future draft picks, according to The Associated Press. Apparently the NBA prohibits “team personnel” from having contact with players who are not yet draft eligible.
According to the U.K.’s Guardian, he could face a fine of up to $30,000 for the brief celebratory visit.
