The movie adaptation of Max Brooks‘ novel will star Pitt as a United Nations worker who’s compiling an oral history of a worldwide zombie plague. Enos is set to play his wife, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
It would be the first big feature-film role for Enos, who’s won critical praise for her role as Seattle homicide detective Sarah Linden on AMC’s “The Killing.” The show has also brought in sold ratings for the cable channel.
Pitt’s company, Plan B, bought the rights to “World War Z” in 2007, and he signed on to star last summer. There hadn’t been much movement since then — for a time, it even appeared that Paramount might shut the project down — but activity on the movie has picked back up in recent weeks. There’s no word yet on a release date, though.
Marc Forster (“Quantum of Solace”) is directing “World War Z.”
